Real Madrid claimed their 16th UEFA Champions League title with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Manchester City in the final at Wembley Stadium. Kylian Mbappé was the hero of the night, scoring twice including a stunning 89th-minute winner that sent the Madrid faithful into raptures.

City had taken the lead through Erling Haaland's first-half header, but Vinícius Júnior equalized before the break. Rodri restored City's advantage with a long-range effort, only for Mbappé to level again with a brilliant solo goal.

With the match seemingly heading to extra time, Mbappé collected a Bellingham pass on the left flank, cut inside two defenders, and curled an unstoppable shot into the top corner to seal an extraordinary comeback.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti became the first manager to win five Champions League titles, cementing his legacy as the greatest coach in the competition's history. "This club never gives up," he said. "That is the Real Madrid spirit."

The victory also secured Madrid's place in the FIFA Club World Cup as European champions, where they will face South American and Asian champions later in the year.
